IPOD COMPATABLES SEEM TO BE FORCED ON US. WE USE IT ALL THE TIME. I PAID $80.00 FOR MINE. LOTS OF US JUST WANT TO PLAY OUR CD'S. GREAT QUALITY AND SOUND. FOR SOME REASON THE PRICE WENT WAY UP AND YOU CAN'T FIND THEM FOR SALE. WHAT IS GOING ON. LETS RAISE OUR VOICES AND TELL THEM WHAT WE WANT.
Bought this so I could carry it around the house with me. However, the CD player's anti-motion mechanism shut it off extremely easily, although sound quality was excellent when it was playing. I returned it as a defective item, and although I bought it direct from SonyStyle, they had great bureaucratic problems having the unit picked up and a replacement sent to me - so I had no choice but to return it and shop for another brand, loyal Sony customer that I had been. The offshore service representative gave awful service.
We loved this boombox but after a few trips with it the cd player stopped working. Starting getting the no disc message. That was very disappointing.
If this came with a remote control, that would make it so much easier. It is a little toggle switch and you have to go through all of the stations to get from one to the next.
It should be able to crank out the tunes. The sound on this system is good.
The only items that I don't 100% like on the system is the changing of channels on the radio. The FM receiver appears to be good.
I was able to pick up alot of stations in my basement, which is not always possible. You can't easily get from the first channel setting to the last without going through all of them.
Other than that little function, the rest of the system seems to work great and will be a nice little system.
Very good sound, a little larger than I thought, has large wall wart, but stays in the outlet. Nice ergo design.
